Abstract
- The article in the Journal of Fluid Mechanics introduces the Generalised Resolvent-Based Turbulence Estimation (GRBE) method for accurately estimating turbulent flow states with arbitrarily sampled measurements in time. The study validates the GRBE by estimating the complex Ginzburg–Landau equation and turbulent channel flows, showing improved accuracy compared to the Resolvent-Based Estimation (RBE) in temporally unresolved cases. The text also discusses the application of different forcing models to inform the GRBE estimator, highlighting the importance of proper modeling strategies for forcing in the temporal domain. Additionally, the document contains a list of academic papers and research studies related to fluid mechanics and turbulent flows, contributing to the understanding of turbulent flows and their dynamics.
