The editorial in Acta Radiologica announces the retirement of Professor Henrik S Thomsen after 7 years as Editor-in-Chief. The journal, one of the oldest in the world, was created in Sweden in 1917 and is supported by a Swedish foundation and five Nordic radiological societies. Despite challenges such as an increase in manuscripts for review, Acta Radiologica has maintained high quality and reduced the time from acceptance to print to 1-2 months.
