Abstract
- The article discusses the diagnostic accuracy of MRI in identifying Creutzfeldt‐Jakob Disease (CJD), a rare prion infection. MRI has been found to be more effective than CSF testing in diagnosing CJD, with a high negative predictive value. The study suggests that patients without suggestive MRI findings are unlikely to have CJD confirmed through lumbar puncture, highlighting the potential of MRI as a screening tool to avoid unnecessary invasive procedures.
