Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Miami focused on B-cell lymphoma and the resistance mechanisms to CD19 CAR T-cell therapy in aggressive large B-cell lymphoma (LBCL) patients. The study analyzed genomic complexity and identified new genomic drivers involved in CAR19 resistance, particularly in immune-synapse and CD19 pathways. The findings suggest that genomic instability plays a crucial role in treatment resistance by affecting the relationship between CAR19 cell activity, the immune system, and tumor cell immunogenicity. This research provides valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying therapy resistance in LBCL patients. [Extracted from the article]
