Abstract

A recent study conducted at the Cardiovascular Center focused on the coexistence of aortic stenosis (AS) and coronary artery disease (CAD) and the decision-making process between surgical and transcatheter management. The research highlighted the various treatment options available for patients with AS and CAD, emphasizing the importance of individualized care based on disease severity, clinical presentation, and symptom evolution. The study concluded that due to the complexity of clinical scenarios and remaining uncertainties, a uniform treatment strategy for patients with AS and CAD is not supported, underscoring the need for heart teams to be well-informed about available data on these conditions.
