Abstract
- Researchers from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences conducted a study to evaluate the impact of Benson's relaxation technique on anxiety and delirium among coronary artery bypass graft surgery patients. The randomized controlled trial involved 60 patients, with the intervention group receiving Benson's relaxation training pre-surgery and practicing it post-admission. The study found that Benson's relaxation significantly reduced delirium scores on the first and second days post-surgery, but did not show a significant difference in anxiety reduction compared to routine care. Further research is needed to assess the long-term effectiveness and broader impact of this technique on psychological outcomes. [Extracted from the article]
