Abstract

A recent study conducted at the Affiliated Eye Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China highlighted a rare case of a 13-year-old girl with central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO) combined with cilioretinal artery occlusion (CilRAO) as a result of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). The patient's vision improved with treatment using Bosentan and traditional Chinese medicine, although a paracentral scotoma persisted. The study emphasizes the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in managing complex cases to prevent permanent vision loss and systemic complications.
