Abstract
- A study conducted by researchers from Zhejiang University focused on the effectiveness of injury prevention programs (IPPs) in improving knee motion patterns to reduce the risk of noncontact anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries in athletes. The study, which involved a systematic review and Bayesian network meta-analysis, analyzed data from 22 randomized controlled trials with 878 participants and found that external focus instructions and internal focus of attention were effective in increasing peak knee flexion during jumping tests, while core stability training was effective in reducing knee valgus. However, the effects of IPPs on cutting tests were inconsistent. The research provides valuable insights into exercise-based ACL injury prevention interventions for athletes.
