Abstract

A recent study conducted at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill focused on the surgical management of moderate to severe epistaxis in patients with hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT). The study found that surgical interventions, such as nasal closure and laser photocoagulation, can significantly reduce the severity of epistaxis and improve patients' quality of life. Further research is recommended to compare different surgical procedures and standardize outcome measures in treating HHT-related epistaxis. [Extracted from the article]
