Abstract
- A recent study conducted by the University Medical Center Utrecht in the Netherlands found positive associations between mean ambient temperature and involuntary admissions to psychiatric facilities. The research, which analyzed data from 23 psychiatric institutions in the Netherlands, revealed that increases in temperature were linked to higher rates of involuntary admissions. The study suggests that further epidemiological and mechanistic research is needed to better understand this relationship and its implications for mental health outcomes. [Extracted from the article]
