Abstract

A study conducted at the Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University evaluated the effectiveness of minimally invasive dermabrasion for deep second-degree facial burn wounds in the early postburn phase. The research involved 35 patients who underwent minimally invasive debridement using a hydrosurgery system, followed by the application of human biological dressings. Results showed a lower infection rate, shorter healing time, and reduced scar formation compared to standard surgical excision. The study concluded that minimally invasive dermabrasion is valuable in treating deep second-degree facial burn wounds, as it can effectively reduce infection rates and minimize scar hyperplasia and contracture deformities.
