Abstract
- Southern California is experiencing much-needed rain that will help firefighters combat ongoing blazes, but it also poses a risk of landslides. Los Angeles and Ventura counties could receive up to 1.25 inches of rain, with higher amounts in the mountains. The rain is a relief after a long dry spell, but the risk of landslides is higher in areas where vegetation has been burned off by wildfires. Firefighters have made progress in containing the fires, with some already over 90% contained. [Extracted from the article]
