Abstract

A recent report from the Second People's Hospital in Hefei, China, explores the use of deep learning based on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to classify subtypes of gliomas. The study included 747 adult patients with gliomas and developed models based on different MRI sequences to classify IDH-wildtype, IDH-mutant/1p19q-noncodeleted, and IDH-mutant/1p19q-codeleted subtypes. The research concluded that the models were most effective when using the FLAIR sequence for classification. This study provides valuable insights into the potential of MRI-based deep learning for predicting glioma subtypes. [Extracted from the article]
