Abstract
- A recent clinical trial conducted at Qazvin University of Medical Sciences investigated the effects of ellagic acid on patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The study found that ellagic acid supplementation led to significant reductions in various biochemical factors associated with NAFLD, such as insulin resistance, liver enzymes, and oxidative stress markers. The researchers concluded that ellagic acid could be used as a supplemental therapy to reduce complications of NAFLD due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
