Abstract
- A recent study conducted at Jeonju University in South Korea examined the impact of the bed-to-nurse ratio and nurse turnover rate on in-hospital mortality. The research, based on national administrative data, found that patients in hospitals with a low bed-to-nurse ratio and high nurse turnover rate had a higher risk of in-hospital mortality. The study highlights the importance of nursing staffing levels and turnover rates in patient outcomes, providing valuable insights for health policymakers and suggesting the need for comprehensive improvement plans in healthcare settings.
