Abstract

Researchers at the General Hospital of Mexico conducted a study on diagnosing pulmonary hypertension (PH) in patients with interstitial lung disease (ILD). They found that right heart catheterization (RHC) accurately diagnosed ILD-PH in a large cohort of patients, with a prevalence of 84.7%. The study also identified specific predictors of long-term survival in ILD-PH patients, such as pulmonary function, oxygen saturation, and pulmonary artery compliance. The research concluded that RHC is an effective method for characterizing ILD-PH and providing survival predictions. [Extracted from the article]
