Abstract

A study conducted at Kyoto University in Japan explored the associations among sleep apnea, objective or subjective sleep duration, and the recurrence of atrial fibrillation in patients undergoing radiofrequency catheter ablation. The research found that participants with moderate-to-severe sleep apnea and long objective sleep duration were at higher risk of recurrent atrial fibrillation. The study highlighted the importance of considering both sleep apnea and sleep duration in managing atrial fibrillation.
