Abstract
- Presents information on the author's visit to the Amazon River basin of Brazil for the Amazonas Project, a program sponsored by the University of Cincinnati's (UC) Department of Family Medicine. Information that the project's mission is to provide routine health care to the people who live in the remote villages spread across the vast Amazonas region; Report that 22 Americans accompanied the author in his visit to the Amazon River basin; Note that the group was led by Keith B. Holten and Sandra Riegler, both members of UC's medical faculty, and included physicians, nurses, residents, and volunteers.
