This article presents information on conventions related to the information technology industry. The 34th NFAIS Annual Conference titled "Trends and Challenges in the Universe of Information," will address the ever-changing aspects of technology on both a national and international level. The conference will be held from February 24-27 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Thirteenth National Online Meeting will take place from May 5-7 in New York. This highly successful meeting has become the preeminent forum where those concerned with changes in the database field meet, discuss, and formulate strategies for future action. Featured are presented papers, product review sessions and an exhibit that includes: online information systems; CD-ROM databases, library systems; and related information products. The Association of College and Research Libraries' Sixth National Conference is scheduled to take place from April 12-14 in Utah. This year the conference will address the theme of "Academic Libraries Achieving Excellence in Higher Education."
