CAREERS Conference Paper Abstracts.

This section presents abstracts of several conference papers on careers. Ichiro Kato and Ryuta Suzuki reports the development and validation of the Subjective Career Matrix, a conceptual framework which was designed to exhibit the perceptions of uncertainty and the will to design one's career. Michel Tremblay examines the influence of three forms of plateauing-structural, content and pay on the attitudes and behaviors of 900 Canadian engineers. In "Cross-Cultural Mentoring in International Joint Ventures," Aimin Yan and Yan Shen develops a conceptual model of cross-cultural mentoring and development in the context of international joint ventures.
