Abstract

This article focuses on news briefs related to political developments in the U.S. According to the CBS/USA Today poll, 60 per cent believe that U.S. President Bill Clinton definitely or probably lied under oath while he was the President. It is reported that elementary-school principal apologizes to Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell after students attended Sierra Club rally attacking Campbell. Teachers thought it was Earth Day program on endangered species, accuse Sierra Club of misleading them. It is pointed that actress Jane Fonda apologizes for telling the United Nations group that parts of Georgia resemble Third World country because of tar-paper shacks and children starving to death.
