Abstract

This article discusses aspects of mental health in education. The interrelationship of mental health and of education. William G. Hollister diagramed and described the emerging pattern of relationship between education and mental health; In the education of all children, including children with mild emotional handicaps, the relationship should be one of utilizing all social and behavioral science research in the development of curriculums and in the training of teachers, pupils-personnel workers, health workers, and administrative staffs. Educational and mental health agencies have become closer and more integrative in their efforts to provide effective educational experiences for moderately to severely handicapped children.
