Abstract

The article offers a look at the concept of microstructures in today's life. It further suggests that this concept can be useful in contexts other than global markets and points out that the terrorist microstructure has different constitutive elements. Global terrorism presents conceptualized global microstructures as structures of connectivity and integration that are global in scope but micro-sociological in character. What one means by global microstructure is the relationship between institutional lightness and the achievement of effects. In this context, the article offers a look at micro-sociology and the methodology of qualitative research, and provide significant resources for the study of qualitative research on global systems. The citation of terrorist organization Al-Qaeda is discussed in the analysis of global microstructures. According to the author, these microstructures are conceptualized as structures of connectivity and integration that are global in scope but micro-sociological in character.
