Abstract
- The article reports on the ability of the presence of increased numbers of regulatory T cells (T<subscript>Reg</subscript>) cells in cancer patients to suppress an effective anti-tumor immune response. Reducing the number of T<subscript>Reg</subscript> cells can improve the response of patients to tumor-based vaccines. The development of autoimmunity is suppressed by the T<subscript>Reg</subscript> cells.
