Abstract

A biography of Arthur Ochs Sulzberger, the publisher of "The New York Times," is presented. He was born in 1926 in New York and studied in Columbia. Sulzberger served in the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II, and joined in their family business in 1951. He was been a reporter for the "Milwaukee Journal" from 1953 to 1954, and was named president and publisher of "The New York Times" in 1963.
