The article presents trends and developments affecting the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) in the U.S. The CEC hosted the Forty-First Annual CEC Convention in Philadelphia. The list of attendees to the convention are presented. The CEC Assembly elected the members of the board of governors. The CEC delegate assembly has amended the bylaws of the CEC constitution. The board of governors adopted the statement of purpose of the CEC. Official charters have been presented to representatives of federations, branches, and chapters of the CEC.
