Outlook for 2006-07: Political outlook.

The article provides a political outlook for Spain for 2006-2007. There is a possibility that the issue between the minority government and a moderate Catalan party, Convergence and Union, could reignite, although a deal was reached in late January 2005. The strength of its relations with the United States are poor because of the confrontational stance taken by the Spanish government towards U.S. President George W. Bush administration since the election victory of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party in March 2004.
