Abstract

Presents research which showed that TAK1 activation stimulates NEMO-like kinase activity (NLK) and downregulates transcriptional activation mediated by beta-catenin and T-cell factor (TCF). Role of the Wnt signaling pathway in animal development; Signaling in Drosophila and in Caenorhabditis elegans; Effects of injecting NLK; Negative regulation by the TAK1-NLK-1-MAPK-like pathway of the Wnt pathway.
