Sport History as Social History?

The article previews the 86th Annual Meeting of the American Historical Association. The conference includes a session on sports titled "Sports as Social History" which includes decision on continuation of independent courses by the sport historians. The conference seeks to resolve the question related to sport historians that should they continue their current independent courses or should they be considered as legitimate sub group of the social history discipline.
