Abstract: The article reports on the highlights of a continuing medical education symposium in Chicago, Illinois on October 16, 2005. The event is sponsored by the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and the "Ophthalmology Times". A statement need and course description is provided. The learning objectives and target audience are discussed,
