Barcelona hosted the Sixth Carbohydrate Bioengineering Meeting on April 3–6, 2005.

Information about the Sixth Carbohydrate Bioengineering Meeting held on April 3-6, 2005 in Barcelona, Spain is presented. In the meeting, scientific programs are presented that consists of thirty-six lectures and over 150 poster presentations addressing different topics on basic and applied aspects of carbohydrate bioengineering. Accordingly, the author stressed that some of those papers presented are published within the issue of the Journal.
