Abstract
- Provides information on experiments which aimed at studying freezing and growing crystals of salt. Capability of salt to drop the temperature of water; Role of the presence of salt in seawater in reducing the pressure exerted by sea ice according to the results of an experiment conducted Edward M. Little, a senior scientist with the Arctic Sciences Division of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in California; Application of controlled heat by James Bailey of Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the solution for growing large single crystals of salt.
