"It's a Program That Looks Great on Paper": The Challenge of America Reads.

The article presents a study which investigates the America Reads Challenge program of U.S. President Bill Clinton. This is a political initiative which aimed at improving the reading achievement through nonprofessional tutoring. The study showed different results. Some have positive while others have negative impact. The factors contributing in the varying results include financial support for the school to enhance the educational programs, lack of technological resources and infrastructures.
