Mental-Health Researcher Fabricated Many of His Studies, Panel Concludes.

The article reports on the result of the study about the drug-treatment practices for mentally retarded children in the U.S. The study has influenced the amount and kinds of drugs given to control potentially harmful behavior in mentally retarded children. In a study in Illinois public school system, 6.7 percent of all students classified as trainable mentally retarded and stimulants and neuroleptics accounted for 82 percent of the drugs used.
