Abstract
- The article examines the textual interior of the poetry of writer Thomas Hardy. Hardy's poetry does not organize, rationalize or valorize objects it takes. It does not bring them under a concept of the aesthetic. The materials incorporated by the poetry retain an awkward empirical quiddity even if they are assembled in a recognizable value-form.
