"Heed Not the Fall": Elegy as Myth Among the Ursuline Nuns.

Drawing on a necrology, or book of the dead, kept by an Ursuline community in Brown County, Ohio, during 1845-1930, discusses the sisters' efforts at creating a communal identity linking them "to a larger tradition of belief and heritage" as a way of providing nuns still living among the community the spiritual strength to continue their work.
