Abstract
- The article expresses the author's concern on the need for the U.S. government to support the artist working member of the community through its Work Progress Administration program. The author stressed that the government should give the arts a permanent housing in the country. The government has concentrated mainly on the work that has been done in the plastic and graphic arts, as well as in the factual exploration of the American scene through the Writers' Project for the American Guidebook.
