Abstract

The article cites a study on the loyalty and security programs and its effect to employment in the U.S. The author offers estimates of the extent of exposure of major employment groups to employment tests and the intensity of that exposure. He discusses several loyalty and security programs, including the security and the loyalty programs of the federal government, the state and local programs, and the private loyalty programs. He explains the impact of these programs to various field of occupations such as the professions, the managerial group, the civil servants, and the other occupations in various industries.
