Abstract
- The article presents a discussion on the prevalence of ulcers in grade school students which is believed to be caused by stress developed in a highly competitive, unreasonable, and demanding life in a suburban society. It also presents an examination on the possible sources of pressure on students which include stepped-up kindergarten program, an emphasis on good grades, and the social life in school and community. It also stresses on the fundamental need to put importance on the individual student and to develop him with his unique individual qualities and within the framework of social conditions.
