Abstract
- The article analyzes the Camelot affair which has been the subject of concern in the American scholarly community. The project Camelot was formulated by the Special Operations Research Office (SORO) of the American University in Washington, D.C. The manager of the Camelot was Rex D. Hopper. About US$300,000 had already been spent for the project when Walter Pincus, of the Washington Evening Star published an article entitled "Army-State Department Feud over Social Science Research in Chile." The article has become the first American public heard concerning the project. However, the project gained criticism in the Chilean community.
