Head Start: Intervention for What?

The article reports on the Project Head Start. Project Head Start was a comprehensive program designed to address itself to the educational, emotional and physical needs of the child while dealing with the problems of the family, needs and resources of the community. The first program launched by Head Start focuses on the preparation of the children to enter the first grade of public school that showed positive results. Moreover, it discusses the experimental program sponsored by Head Start called Planned Variation which focuses on the effects of approaches to preschool education and others.
