Attempted Biofiltration of Reduced Sulphur Compounds from a Pulp and Paper Mill in Northern Sweden.

The article identifies the reduced sulphur compounds present in waste gas from a specific deaerator at a paper and pulp mill in northern Sweden. The study investigates the feasibility of using a multi-stage biofilter to treat the sulphur compounds in an industrial setting. Filter media, such as an organic peat and compost mixture and rockwool mats, were utilized for the biofilter.
