Abstract

The article presents a comparative analysis of the Chinese science policy. Though China has contributed impressive scientific discoveries and technological innovations in ancient times, oevr the years they have failed to participate in modern science development and technology. When the Communists came to power in 1949, they seized the modernizing efforts of becoming blind imitators of western policy in innovations of science. China adapted selective techniques from advanced countries and its own cultural heritage.
