Abstract
- The article presents updates on the political risk and macroeconomic prospects in Trinidad & Tobago. Higher interest rates have failed to lessen aggregate demand. Inflationary pressures pushes through and the domestic market is overflowing with liquidity. In this case, monetary policy will remain tight. For the past 12 months, the benchmark lending rate has risen by 175 basis points.
