Abstract
- The article focuses on the study of Neanderthals by palaeoanthropologists. Across the Europe, the researchers are scrambling to unearth fresh bones of Neanderthals that might yield intact genetic material. On July 21-26, 2006, the scientists will gather in Bonn, Germany to mark the 150th anniversary of the discovery of Homo neanderthalensis and to debate all aspects of Neanderthal life. The Institute of Human Paleaentology will unveil its plans to sequence an entire Neanderthal genome.
