The article focuses on the result of a study conducted by Markus Cornberg and colleagues on the mechanism of T-cells. Using a mouse model of virus infection, it has been found that activation of cross-reactive memory T-cells can influence the generation of a restricted T-cell response. It also shows that the unique component of cross-reactive memory T-cells can determine the response of cells to heterologous infections.
