Abstract

The article reports on the proposed $5.3 billion budget of the administration of U.S. President Richard Nixon that will be allocated to higher education for fiscal 1971. With the allocation, more support for higher education is being shifted to the non-federal sector while total funds for student aid are increased. However, National Defense student loans will be fewer.
