Free Volume Microprobe Studies on Poly(methyl methacrylate)/Poly(vinyl chloride) and Poly(vinyl chloride)/Polystyrene Blends.

The article discusses the free volume microprobe studies on polymethyl methacrylate/polyvinyl chloride and polystyrene blends. The blends were qualified using Differential Scanning Calorimetry which were found to be poor to describe whether polymethyl methacrylate/polyvinyl chloride blends are mixable due to the small gap in their glass temperatures. The blending may result to either compatible system or incompatible system.
