Abstract
- This article presents a study on the molecular events that lead to deletion formation in the dystrophin gene major hot spot. The study found that a region in intron 47 has the abilty to induce double-strand breaks (DSB) during meiosis. It is suggested that DSB is not associated with secondary structure. Conclusions and significance of the study are presented.
