Abstract
- The article reports on the result of the study on the link between short or poor sleep with glycemic control in African Americans with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Sleep duration and quality were significant predictors of HbA<subscript>1c</subscript>, a key marker of glycemic control. The study suggested that optimizing sleep duration and quality should be tested as an intervention to improve glucose control in patients with type 2 diabetes.
